Enrollment Agreement & Consent

These policies exist to keep every class a safe, transparent, privacy‑respecting place to learn. They are short, plainly worded, and they apply to every family in every cohort.

By enrolling their child or children in Spanish The Story Way, parents acknowledge and consent to all of the policies below. Any breach of these agreements, by student or parent, warrants immediate removal from any current or future cohort with STSW.

Privacy & recording consent

Spanish The Story Way is a small‑group online class. During live sessions, students’ faces and names are visible to classmates and may appear in session recordings. Recordings may be shared with other parents within the same cohort for review and support. Collaborative in‑class activities, such as MeritHub boards or supervised shared Google Docs, may appear in recordings.

Students do not have access to edit shared documents outside of supervised class time. No private student work — including individual writing, assessments, behavior notes, or personal documents — is ever shared with other families.

Parents may request viewer‑only access to their own child’s private Google Drive folder. Parents will not receive access to other students’ folders, private work, or individual documents.

Technology & access requirements

Parents acknowledge that students must have a stable internet connection, a device capable of running Google Meet, and a Google account for Drive access. Students will use Señor Wooly, Google Meet, Google Drive, and MeritHub boards as part of the instructional experience.

Cohort‑wide documents are view‑only outside of class. Temporary editing access during class is supervised and removed immediately afterward. The Student & Parent Access Guide explains exactly how each tool is used.

Student conduct & classroom behavior

Students are expected to behave respectfully during live sessions and in all collaborative activities. Any inappropriate writing or behavior will be addressed promptly. The teacher may screenshot and remove inappropriate content, and will contact the parent privately to discuss the incident.

Recordings may capture inappropriate behavior if it occurs during class. This is treated as part of the instructional environment and not as a private student record.

Parent viewing & participation

Parents acknowledge that they may view session recordings, and that those recordings may include other students who participated in the same cohort. Parents agree not to share, distribute, or post any class recordings or screenshots.

Parents understand that they will not receive access to cohort‑wide writing, to collaborative documents outside of recordings, or to any materials belonging to other students.

Program structure & materials

Spanish The Story Way uses story‑driven and music‑supported curriculum materials, including Señor Wooly content, teacher‑created resources, and interactive activities. Students participate in synchronous instruction, collaborative tasks, and individual assignments.

All curriculum materials are copyrighted and may not be downloaded, shared, or distributed outside the program.

Agreement

Enrollment in Spanish The Story Way constitutes full acceptance of all policies listed above. Together they ensure a safe, transparent, and privacy‑respecting learning environment for every student.
